My approach to creating custom invitations is entirely focused on you. If you have a vision in mind, I'd love to hear more about it. If you're not sure, and you need a direction, I can help steer you. We can take a look at your favorite things more generally, and narrow down why they speak to you. From there, I will illustrate and design a gorgeous, bespoke invitation suite suited to your personal asethetic.
Lisa contacted me needing a suite of designs for her wedding- she wanted a custom illustrated menu for her guests, as well as signage to let them know to get off their phones, and a signature pattern that could be repeated throughout the entire event.
Together we created an art style for all the illustrations and icons shown throughout her wedding, and made signage to help direct her guests to their tables.
"Molly was fun to work with, responded immediately to messages. Set clear expectations and working hours and created beautiful original illustrations for my wedding handouts and signs on a short turnaround. She went the extra mile to get me the file types I needed and made great suggestions for things along the way. I highly recommend hiring her!"
Tracey contacted me because she wanted to make a map of the island St. Barts for her wedding- since each location for different events ended up being in different places on the island, she wanted to make it very visually easy to see where everything was.
She also wanted to add in some custom illustrations of various things- drinks, her pomeranian puppy- and a pattern that she could use in various locations throughout her day.
Her color palette for her wedding was a gorgeous coral and aquamarine.
Katarina was not sure about what she wanted for her invitations, but she knew she wanted it to feel like a fairy tale- she was deeply inspired by Lord of the Rings and Narnia. After making several moodboards together and discussing what felt right for her, she realized that the invitations that really drew her in all involved trees as a central part of the design. The most romantic type of tree was a willow, she decided, and I illustrated it for her.
Together we created a custom monogram for her wedding using the first letters of her and her fiancee's name, and it was used to create stickers and belly bands for her suite. I created custom typography of the two of their names for the main invitation, and we made it all come together with the luxe touch of gold foiling for the lanterns and fairies overhead.
"Molly is not only talented and professional; she is warm and genuinely cares about your experience. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and can help you figure out what fits your style and needs, even when you’re not 100% sure what those are yourself. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am to have her and her work tied to my memories of that day."
Custom bespoke wedding invitation suites made for you can have a common theme, such as the tropical flowers shown here. Or, they can look similar, be in the same color palette but feature different things. It is up to you. I am skilled with watercolors, particularly watercolor flowers- if you wanted to feature your future wedding bouquet. I can also paint landscapes, do line drawings, create lithographic style illustrations... the sky is the limit. I'm very versitile as an illustrator- send me a message to create your own bespoke suite.
I can handle as much or as little of the design aspect as you'd like. If you want your suite to be editable for you in a program like Photoshop, Affinity, or Canva, I can create them to be highly customizable for you. Or, I can handle all the design work for you.
Direct your guests to your events in style. I can make many different styles of wedding map depending on your needs. Pricing depends on complexity, number of locations and the level of detail needed.
One of the best ways to make the look of your wedding cohesive is to have a visual pattern that repeats throughout the event- in signage, in the little details. Together we can make a pattern that encapsulates the spirit of your design sense.
