This mountaintop wedding in Fairfield Bay felt straight out of a storybook. Everything about it was magical. This gorgeous view, overlooking the bay with the fall colors reflecting on the water, and the bride's gorgeous hair with golden stars intertwined in her braids. Capturing this scene as a live wedding painting meant a lot to me, since they trusted me so completely to execute their vision for their painting. This couple were both total sweethearts. I was obsessed with every artistic choice they made, from the stacked books on each table and quotes about love on each one, to the gorgeous hanging lights overhead. Even their little daughter loved the painting!

FLORALS: DROP A FLOWER NWA

This Desi wedding ceremony and pheras was full of movement, color, and meaning. When the couple walked around the agni, vibrant pink tones from the flowers, the red sequins on her dress and the greens and blues of the Ozark Mountains came together beautifully. Live wedding painting is especially meaningful for Hindu ceremonies, since there are so many parts to a wedding. So many ceremonies! I watched as the couple had their families come up and congratulate them. It was an explosion of rose petals, and lasted late into the night. Simply gorgeous to get to be a part of!

The bride wanted me to capture a dip kiss that would show part of their ceremony space, and also the forest behind them. I think dip kisses can be really hard to do well, and this couple really knocked it out of the park- it was so romantic and warm. The way the light danced across the trees in this venue made everything about this wedding feel intimate and glowing. Painting this scene live allowed me to capture the romance and the dramatic lighting throughout the space! While attending this wedding, I talked to all of the flower girls, and they were so interested in art, wanting to be a part of the painting and the moment. Their brush strokes from those kiddos are now a part of this couple's artwork forever!

PRIVATE RESIDENCE  •  HUNTSVILLE, ar

This wedding was so special and emotional to me. We watched the storm coming all day- and the ceremony time was pushed back several times because the rain was not just a little drizzle and the ceremony was outdoors. Finally, the couple decided to go for it- that regardless of the rain, they were getting married! It was stunning because the second they said "I do" and had their first kiss, the rain stopped, and this gorgeous rainbow came out! Now that is a massive sign that this couple was meant to be and an amazing omen for their marriage. So many of us decided to ditch our shoes because of the rain, and we all danced joyfully, unincumbered by heels. The couple's friends and family were some of the warmest and most loving wedding guests I have ever met, and each one had something special to offer the couple- from incredible singing to delicious homemade lumpia. This one was for the books for sure.

CHEESECAKE: THICC CAKES

Set against the Ozark Mountains in Branson, this first kiss was framed by an octagonal structure covered in flowers. I was so obsessed with the way the mountains faded into the sky- in art school, we call that atmospheric perspective! Both the bride and groom were super statuesque, and they were so enthusiastic and sweet. My favorite details from their wedding were the groom's tennis shoes and the gorgeous vibrant blooms they chose for their floral arrangements and bouquet. This wedding had amazing vibes, and I think you can feel it in the finished live painting!

This Springfield wedding featured a deep, romantic first kiss framed by grand columns and timeless architecture. The setting gave the moment a sense of permanence and strength, making it a beautiful choice for a live wedding painting. Capturing this scene was about honoring both the intimacy between the couple and the classic elegance of the venue. I had never attended a garden wedding before, and it was stunningly beautiful! This couple's friends and family went absolutley crazy for the dance floor, and it was so much fun to watch as the night progressed.

PLENTYWOODS • eLKINS, AR

This was such a romantic and beautiful first kiss. Golden hour weddings always really get me. The softness of the landscape and the warmth of the light made this moment feel so special. Live wedding painting is especially powerful during sunset, and this painting is proof! This couple was so playful and joyful, I loved watching them as they walked around during the reception, hanging out with their friends and soaking in the good vibes. When all the guests had gone home and it was just the couple and their friends, everyone piled into the back of the venue and did a very sarcastic but enthusiastic woo pig sooie, and of course I had to join in! For those of you not in NWA, we call that "calling the hogs" and it's practically a cult ritual around these parts.

THE GILLIS PLACE  •  CLEVER, MO

This wedding had a woodsy, lodgey romantic vibe! I loved the big willow tree that the ceremony happened under, and the red and blue fabric overhead gently swayed in the wind while they gave their vows. I loved the vows, too- they were on the nature of time and how important it is to appreciate the moments that we have with the people we love while we have them. I loved capturing their almost-kiss, the way they looked into each other's eyes right before that magical moment. Their reception was super fun too, playing games with all the guests. The cheesecake at the end of the night was simply to die for!
