Big note on this gallery… IT IS NOT MY WORK! These are just some paintings from some painters that really inspire me. This gallery also contains some artwork that may be classified as naughty, and it may feature the nude body. Just a heads up before you enter.

If I directed you here, it is to get a good idea of your particular preferences before your wedding! It also will give us a jumping off point to work with when it comes time to paint you. If I know you like one style over another, that can inform certain choices I make in your painting!

Henri De Toulouse Lautrec

Henri De Toulouse Lautrec is an absolute master. He doesn’t necessarily paint things like they actually are, but rather, what they feel like. I’m including a lot of his work at the Moulin Rouge because it’s paintings of parties, much like weddings are parties!. This is a fun way to handle group settings. His portraits of couples are lovely- the way he captures a kiss is so captivating. He also includes wide spaces where the eye has room to breathe in his paintings. His use of color, unusual and whimsical. His brush strokes, loose and flowy.

Ivan Alifan (Heads up, this painter’s current work is rather edgy and subversive- don’t click at work)

This is some of his early work before his contemporary art. What inspires me about these three paintings is the use of light, and how the backgrounds seem to almost be dissolving, but we still get this rim light glow.
