Hi, I’m Molly Van Roekel!
Every person has something that can be considered their art form, and their process. Mine happens to be painting. The most open manifestation of our creativity happens when we are creating something special for someone else. A special meal for your loved ones. A silly song for your pet. Or a painting that depicts one of the most important days of your life- your wedding.
I love weddings, I love the atmosphere of celebration- the way I can feel the love between the happy couple and their array of friends and family. I love the heartfelt expressions of joy and the rituals like cutting the cake. It brings me so much joy to dance with a grandma or two, joke around with the bridesmaids and be a part of something unforgettable.
My Values

Creativity
I believe that everything we do can be a form of art. Weddings are a powerful invitation to embrace flexibility and creativity. Often, a wedding can be the first time someone sees themselves as a creative being.

Love
Love, in all its forms, is at the heart of what I do. The act of choosing one another is powerful. It’s not just romantic, it’s a tiny miracle. I’m here to honor the beauty, strength, care, and intention behind your special day.

Presence
Weddings are full of fleeting, emotionally charged details—an expression, a gesture, a shift in light. My work is about honoring those small, sacred moments and giving them a permanent place in time.

Inclusivity
Inclusivity is a core part of my art practice. I find joy in painting the natural diversity of skin tones, body types, and identities. I welcome all couples with openness and respect. LGBTQ+ couples, you are safe with me!
Experience & Credentials
I’ve been an illustrator for thirteen years, and working with clients around the world to create children’s books, book covers, wedding invitations, clipart, and greeting cards has been one of my greatest joys. I love the collaboration, and I love bringing creative visions to life.

Why I Paint Love Stories
I paint live so couples can hold onto the real feeling of the day: the way they looked at each other, the joy in the room, the quiet in-between seconds that no one else sees. The ritual of a wedding is so meaningful, it’s publicly being seen and chosen by your person. It takes a lot of courage and faith in each other to decide to commit yourself to one another for life, and I am always moved by the love stories I am invited to be a part of.
I’ve experienced deep love and deep loss myself, and it taught me how important it is to honor love while we have it.
Every painting is a time capsule of feeling, and I want you to look at your painting and remember how it felt to be there.
The Arkansas I Love…
Arkansas is full of quiet magic. Sunlight through the trees on a winding trail. A first look under the changing leaves of the Ozarks. That breath of stillness before a couple walks down the aisle, surrounded by mountains, wildflowers, and trees.
I love painting here because this place holds so much contrast—rugged and refined, grounded and romantic. One weekend I might be capturing a ceremony deep in the woods, the next at Crystal Bridges beneath world-class art and modern architecture. It’s so easy to be inspired as an artist here.

Spotlight: Alex & Evan Adney
Blush Bloom Studio was a fantastic addition to our wedding day. Their communication was always timely and prompt, which put my mind at ease leading up to the big event. On the day, Molly arrived right on time and set up her painting station seamlessly. Her work was efficient, detailed, and absolutely beautiful – all of our guests were in awe watching her capture the special moments. The final painting is a cherished memento that perfectly encapsulates the joy and love of our wedding.
